Product Description

Mentex expanded metal, also called regular expanded metal, is manufactured by pressing, cutting and expanding, leaving sharply angled knuckles where the individual strands meet, which gives it a non-slip surface. Flatex expanded metal, also called flattened expanded metal, creates a smoother surface by an additional cold rolling process on the basis of mentex expanded metal, forming a finished product that is about 5% lighter than regular expanded metal. Both mentex and flatex expanded metal are formed from a single piece of metal, so there is no waste in the production process, making them among the most environmentally friendly of all metal types.
