Expanded metal fencing is used in grates and in outdoor furniture (e.g. benches) or fencing. It is often used for guarding to prevent contact with hot surfaces or machinery. The mesh comes in varying sizes depending on the amount of security required. It can be either galvanized only or galvanized and powder coated. It stops stones over 20 mm from passing through the windows, making it ideal for protecting windows from vandalism. As common fence materials, there are welded wire fence, chain link fence and razor barbed wire fence, but expanded metal fencing offers greater flexibility of design.
